Research for Justin Chance, Wed Oct 7, 2026 (PT). Picks a public name for the app now called "Chance AI": a multi-model AI hub with agents, voice, photo questions, an App Builder, and private/incognito modes. Nothing was bought and no accounts were created.
Bottom line
- Recommended name: Chancora (say it chan-KOR-uh). Launch as "Chancora AI" on chancora.com, and get chancora.ai to redirect to it.
- Reason 1: You'd own the search results. An exact search for "Chancora" today returns only a place name and an Italian phrase. A search for "ChanceMind" returned the existing Chance AI app (chance.vision), so that name would keep sending people to a competitor.
- Reason 2: Google prefers a unique, non-generic site name, and so do the app stores. Google's own site-name guide says to "choose a unique name" and to avoid generic names. Apple and Google Play reject names that copy or lean on someone else's brand.
- Reason 3: It's still your name, with a story attached. "Chance" plus ancora (Italian for "anchor" or "still"): a founder named Chance built a steady, trustworthy AI. The brand stays tied to you without colliding with the "Chance AI" photo app. The .com is free, and .com is the ending people trust and remember most.
- Biggest lever is not the name. Google says keywords in a domain give no ranking bonus. Clicks come from the title and description wording (free, no sign-up, private, "all top models in one app"), ratings, and being mentioned on Reddit, YouTube, listicles and directories.
How honest is this? My search tool is not a live Google results page. Each search gave me about 5 top web results plus an AI-written summary, which is close to what an AI Overview does, but I couldn't see Google's real layout, ads, "People also ask," or map/app boxes. To make up for that I did three things. I fetched each top page myself to read its real title and meta description. I pulled real Google autocomplete suggestions (what people actually type). I read the published studies listed in the sources. Anything I couldn't see directly is marked (inference).
Part 1: Searching like a regular person
What people actually type (real Google autocomplete, Oct 7, 2026)
| You start typing… | Google suggests (top picks) |
|---|---|
| ai app | ai apps free · ai app builder · ai apps like chat gpt · ai app maker · ai apps that make videos |
| ai app that | …makes videos · …makes songs · …can edit photos · …talks to you · …can create images · …has no restrictions |
| best ai app for | image generation · photo editing · iphone · android · pictures · stock trading |
| ai assistant app | free · for iphone · for android · reddit · download · instinct |
| chatgpt alternative | free · with image upload · reddit · no filter · with no restrictions |
| ai app to build | website · apps · website free |
| ai with voice | chat · mode · response · chat free · conversation |
| private ai | (mostly airports) · private ai chat |
What this tells you: people search by job ("talks to you," "edit photos," "build apps"), by device ("for iphone"), by price ("free"), and they want a second opinion ("reddit"). "Private AI" on its own gets mixed up with private airports, so say "private AI chat" or "private AI app."
What came up for each search
| Search | What showed up on top | Type |
|---|---|---|
| best AI app 2026 | PCMag "Best AI Chatbots We've Tested for 2026" · airmore listicle · a16z Top 100 · ChatGPT on Google Play | Review listicles + store page |
| AI assistant app | ChatGPT (Google Play) · Claude (App Store) · Zapier "9 best AI personal assistant apps" · Gemini Spark · OpenAI Dots | Store pages + big brands + listicle |
| free AI chat no sign up | Free.ai · AskMe AI · zalt.me · Carpathian · chatfreeai.com | Small brand sites with "free, no login" in the title |
| ChatGPT alternative 2026 | chatgpt-alternatives.com · aiintelreport · Krater · Bearly · Genspark | Comparison pages, often written by a competitor |

| AI app for small business | Claude for Small Business · Every · Helm · Brevant | Brand solution pages |
| AI you can talk to with voice | ChatGPT Voice page · Gemini Live help · TTS.ai · DeepAI · Gab AI | Big brands + free web tools |
| all AI models in one app | AllChat · AI Box · MultipleChat · ModelAny · Symposium AI | Your exact category. All small brands |
| which ai app is best reddit | 5 Reddit threads (r/GeminiAI, r/automation, r/ChatGPT…) | |
| ai app that can see pictures | PhotoAsk (Play) · AskPix · Simply Ask (App Store) · Image Chat | Store pages + small sites |
| best free ai app for iphone | ChatGPT (App Store) · Lifestack and Sintra listicles · Claude · Google AI Edge Gallery | Store pages + listicles |
Pattern: for broad searches ("best AI app") the winners are big review sites and the big three (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). For specific searches ("all AI models in one app," "free AI chat no sign up," "AI that can see pictures," "AI app that builds apps"), small, unknown brands rank on page one. That's where a new app can win.

Store pages: what people see
- ChatGPT on Google Play: "4.8 ★, 56.2M reviews," "official app is free," and a bullet list of everyday jobs ("transcribe a handwritten recipe," "settle a dinner table debate"). Huge social proof plus relatable examples.
- Claude on the App Store: headline "AI assistant for life and work," then capitalized feature blocks ("VISUAL ANALYSIS," "NO TYPING NEEDED," "TRY CLAUDE FOR FREE").
- (inference) On a phone, store results show the icon, the name plus subtitle, the star rating, and screenshots before anyone reads a word, so the first two screenshots and the subtitle do most of the selling.
Top 5 things that make people click an AI app
- The title repeats their exact words. "Free AI Chat, No Login," "All AI Models in One App," "ChatGPT Alternative…." Every winning title above mirrors the search.
- "Free" plus "no sign-up / no card." It's in most top titles for chat searches, and "free" is the most common autocomplete add-on.
- Familiar names as anchors. "ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini & Grok in one" tells a stranger what they'll get in 1 second. (Use these names only in website text and descriptions. Apple doesn't allow other companies' names in your app name or keywords.)
- Proof. Star rating and review count (ChatGPT: 4.8 ★, 56.2M), "Tested," the year "2026," "Compared on price." Reddit threads serve as the "is this legit?" check (people literally type "reddit").
- A plain privacy promise. "Never used for training," "stays on your device," "no tracking." Lumo, Private.ai, Seekree and Venice all lead with it. a16z's new Top 100 list (Oct 5, 2026) notes Venice debuted at #43 on web "with a focus on private AI."
Runner-up: one specific job in the headline ("talks to you," "can see your photos," "builds apps").
Part 2: What brings people to AI sites and apps
Top 5 traffic sources (with data)
| # | Source | What the data says | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Direct / typing the name (bookmarks, app icon, word of mouth, TikTok/YouTube viewers who then type the name) | Across thousands of sites, 64.7% of visits are direct (Semrush, 2025 data). chatgpt.com gets about 83% direct, per Semrush's Aug 2026 page (not re-verified). | A name people can hear once and type correctly is worth real traffic |
| 2 | Google organic search | 16.0% of all visits (Semrush). But when an AI Overview shows, people clicked a normal result on only 8% of visits vs 15% without one, and just 1% clicked a link inside the AI summary (Pew, 68,879 searches). | Still big, but generic "best AI app" clicks are shrinking. Aim at specific searches and get named inside the AI summary |
| 3 | App Store / Google Play search | Apple: "70% of App Store visitors use search to discover apps" (Apple developer talk). | Your store title + subtitle are your most valuable 60 characters |
| 4 | Referrals: listicles, directories, Reddit, Product Hunt | Referrals were 9.6% of visits and up 53% in 2025 (Semrush). There's An AI For That claims 5M+ monthly visitors (about 4.7M per AlphaMoat). A Product Hunt top-3 day brings about 5,000–15,000 visitors; outside the top 10, under 500 (Causo, 2026). | Getting listed and getting into "best X" articles feeds both humans and AI assistants |
| 5 | AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) | Tiny but fastest-growing: 0.14% of all visits, up 66% in 2025 (Semrush). ChatGPT sends 95.1% of AI referrals, and its referrals doubled (+101%) Jan–Aug 2026 (BrightEdge). Small-business sites get about 1.7% of visits from AI (Previsible). | Being mentioned by ChatGPT matters more each month, and it's the easiest assistant for a new brand to break into (see below) |
Social video (TikTok, YouTube): organic social is only about 1.5% of measured visits (Semrush), mostly because people watch, then later type the name or search the store, so it shows up as "direct." YouTube mentions had the strongest link to showing up in AI answers (Ahrefs, 75k brands, ~0.74 correlation).
How new AI tools get discovered (the usual path)
- Someone sees it on Reddit, TikTok/YouTube, X, or Product Hunt, or a friend mentions it.
- They search the name (Google or the app store), so the name must be unique and spelled the way it sounds.
- They check ratings and Reddit ("is X legit reddit").
- Over time, listicles and directories mention it, and AI assistants start recommending it when asked "best private AI app."
How to get cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews (GEO/AEO)
- Google says there's no special trick. "There are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode… You don't need to create new machine readable files, AI text files, or markup." The page must just be indexed and eligible for a snippet (Google Search Central).
- ChatGPT search uses OpenAI's own crawler, OAI-SearchBot. Allow it in robots.txt. (GPTBot is separate and is only for training, so you can block GPTBot and still appear.) ChatGPT also leans on Bing's index, so submit your site to Bing Webmaster Tools (free).
- Mentions beat links. Ahrefs' study of 75k brands found AI visibility tracks branded web mentions (0.66–0.71) and YouTube mentions (~0.74), while backlink counts barely mattered. ChatGPT was the least gated by big-brand authority, which makes it the best entry point for a new name.
- Write in a quotable way. The Princeton/KDD "GEO" paper found that adding statistics, quotations and cited sources raised visibility in AI answers by up to ~40%.
- Reddit helps but swings wildly. ChatGPT's Reddit citations fell from about 60% of responses to about 10% in Sept 2025, and from 3.8% to 0.5% of citations in Aug 2026 (Semrush). Use Reddit for real users and feedback, not as a hack.
- AI assistants often send people to your home or search page, not a deep page (Previsible: ChatGPT sends 28.8% of its traffic to internal search pages). Make the home page and the "what is it / pricing / privacy" pages clear.
Part 3: What Google likes in names and brands
Brandable vs keyword ("exact-match") names
- No ranking bonus for keywords in the domain. Google's John Mueller: "There's no secret (or public) SEO-bonus for having your keywords in the domain name." He also warned that keyword domains box you in later (Search Engine Journal, Feb 2022).
- The 2012 "EMD update" pushed down low-quality exact-match domains (0.6% of US English queries, per Google's Matt Cutts). Keyword domains with thin content were the target. Since then, quality and brand signals matter, and the keyword itself doesn't.
- Google's site-name guide (Search Central): "Choose a unique name… Avoid using a generic name. A generic name like 'Best Dentists In Iowa' is unlikely to be selected… our system generally won't use the same site name for two different sites that are global in nature." So a name like "Chance AI" (already used by another global app) may not even show as your site name in Google.
- So: pick a unique, brandable name, and put the keywords ("private AI chat," "all top AI models") in your title, description and store subtitle instead.
Length and spelling
- Short and easy to say wins. The Princeton study (Alter & Oppenheimer, PNAS 2006) found easy-to-pronounce company names and tickers did better right after IPO, because people prefer things that are easy to process.
- "Radio test": if you say it aloud once, can someone type it? This matters for word of mouth, "Hey Siri, open ___," and people typing it into ChatGPT.
- Store titles are capped at 30 characters (Apple and Google Play), so a 6–8 letter name leaves room for keywords: "Chancora AI: Agents & Voice" is 27.
.com vs .ai
- To Google, both are the same. Google treats .ai as a generic domain like .com. Google's Gary Illyes on adding .ai to that list: "What does this mean? In short, nothing." Mueller: new domain endings have no SEO bonus.
- To people, .com wins on trust and memory. In a 1,500-person study, .com was the most trusted ending (3.5/5) and 33% more memorable. When unsure, people were 3.8× more likely to guess .com (Growth Badger). That study didn't test .ai, and (inference) .ai is now familiar for AI tools. Use .com as the main site and redirect .ai to it. You get both.
Earning the brand knowledge panel
- Google says knowledge panels are "automatically generated" from information across the web for entities in its Knowledge Graph. Once one appears, you can claim it and suggest edits.
- What helps: a unique name (so Google doesn't mix you up with another entity), Organization and WebSite structured data on the home page with the same name everywhere, a logo (at least 112×112 px), and sameAs links to your official profiles (App Store, Google Play, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, GitHub, Product Hunt). Add press and directory mentions over time. With a shared name like "Chance AI," Google would have to tell you apart from chance.vision, which is much harder.
Pitfalls to avoid
- Names close to existing apps or trademarks. Apple's guidelines (4.1 copycats, 5.2.1 trademarks) and Google Play's metadata/impersonation rules reject apps that borrow another brand. "Chance AI" is taken. "ChanceMind" sits right next to it, and a search for "ChanceMind" returned Chance AI. "Diceloom" contains "Loom," a registered software brand (Atlassian).
- Promo words in the store title. Google Play bans "Free," "Best," "#1," "Top," "No Ads" in the title, icon and developer name. Apple bans other companies' names in the name and keywords.
- Spelling traps. Names that can be spelled several ways leak traffic to typos.
- Still to do before committing: a USPTO search (classes 9 and 42) for the finalist and sound-alikes, plus a quick live search inside both app stores. (The previous name check couldn't run USPTO.)
Part 4: Verdict and launch checklist
Scores (1–5 for each, weighted to 100)
Weights come from the research above: Unique / owns its search results 20, Safe from look-alikes and trademarks 20, Easy to spell after hearing it 15, Easy to say 10, Short 10, Meaning and fit for an AI hub 15, .com free 10.
| Name | Unique | Safe | Spell | Say | Short | Fit | .com | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chancora | 5 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 5 | 5 | 86 |
| Diceloom | 5 | 3 | 5 | 5 | 4 | 2 | 5 | 81 |
| Lukvia | 4 | 5 | 3 | 3 | 5 | 3 | 5 | 80 |
| Aleazo | 5 | 4 | 2 | 2 | 5 | 3 | 5 | 75 |
| ChanceMind | 2 | 1 | 5 | 5 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 65 |
Why each scored that way
- Chancora: an exact search finds only a place name and an Italian phrase, and it did not pull up Chance AI. It ties to your name and has a "steady anchor" story. It loses a little because people may spell it "Chankora" or "Chancorra," so register the common typo .com later if cheap.
- Diceloom: the easiest to spell, but "dice" suggests gambling or randomness, which is the opposite of what you want people to feel about an AI that gives answers. A search for it surfaces dice-roller apps, and "Loom" is a known software brand with "Loom AI."
- Lukvia: short and clean, but people will hear "Luckvia" or "Lookvia," and "luck" fits a lottery app better than an assistant. There's also a small Romanian company called Lukvia Brand SRL.
- Aleazo: fully unique, but hard to spell and say (is the stress on a-LEE-a-zo or a-lee-AH-zo?), and the Latin "alea" meaning needs explaining.
- ChanceMind: easy to say and spell, but a search for it returned the existing Chance AI app. It would compete with, and get confused with, that app, with real app-store rejection or confusion risk.
Recommendation: Chancora (brand "Chancora AI"). Runner-up if a USPTO check blocks it: Lukvia.
Launch checklist (free or cheap, no ads)
1. Name and domains (about $10–12/yr for .com; .ai about $140–180 for 2 years, optional)
- ☐ Run a USPTO search (classes 9 and 42) for "Chancora" plus sound-alikes, and search both app stores.
- ☐ Register chancora.com (main) and chancora.ai (redirect). Grab the same handle on X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, GitHub, LinkedIn and Product Hunt.
2. Website title and description (copy these patterns)
- Title (≤60 chars): "Chancora AI: Private AI Chat with Every Top Model" (49)
- Meta description (≤155): "Chat with GPT, Claude, Gemini and more in one private app. Voice, photo questions, AI agents and an app builder. Free to start, incognito mode." Only include "free," "no sign-up," and "never used for training" if they're true.
- Home page H1 says the same thing in plain words. Make separate short pages for: Private AI chat · AI with voice · Ask AI about photos · AI app builder · Chancora vs ChatGPT · Pricing · Privacy (each one matches a real search above).
3. App Store formula (30 / 30 / 100)
- Name: "Chancora AI: Agents & Voice" (27) or "Chancora AI: Private AI Chat" (28)
- Subtitle: "All top AI models, one app" (26) or "Private AI chat, voice, agents" (30)
- Keywords (100 bytes, commas, no spaces, no competitor names):
assistant, chatbot, chat, voice, private, agent, photo, ask, builder, incognito, talk, llm, writer, scan - Google Play: same title (no "free/best/#1"). Short description (≤80): "Private AI chat with top models. Voice, photo Q&A, agents & an app builder." (75)
- First 2 screenshots: the job, then the privacy promise. Ask happy users for ratings in-app with Apple's and Google's official prompts.
4. Directories
- Free: Product Hunt · AlternativeTo (list as an alternative to ChatGPT, Poe, TypingMind) · SaaSHub · Uneed (free queue, can take months) · Hacker News "Show HN" · Indie Hackers · Peerlist · small free AI directories (AI Tools Directory, IndieAI).
- Cheap, optional: There's An AI For That basic listing $49 one-time (verified on their launch page). Futurepedia (reported $247–$497) and Toolify (reported $99) are pricier, so skip them at first.
5. Reddit and Product Hunt
- Reddit: be a real member first. Answer "best private AI app," "all models in one app," and "ChatGPT alternative" threads honestly, and say you're the maker. Post a build story in r/SideProject, r/iOSProgramming, r/LocalLLaMA (when the open model ships) and r/selfhosted (if relevant). Follow each subreddit's self-promo rules.
- Product Hunt: build a list of about 200 supporters over 30 days. Launch on a weekday (traffic peaks 9am–1pm PT). One clear CTA on the landing page. Reply to every comment.
6. Schema and Google basics (free)
- ☐ Home page:
WebSite(name "Chancora AI," alternateName "Chancora") andOrganization(logo, sameAs links to stores and socials). Use the same name everywhere. - ☐
SoftwareApplicationmarkup on the app page, using real ratings only. - ☐ Verify in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, and submit a sitemap.
- ☐ robots.txt: allow Googlebot, Bingbot and OAI-SearchBot.
7. Getting cited by AI assistants
- ☐ Publish one honest comparison page ("Chancora vs ChatGPT vs Poe: models, price, privacy") with real numbers and a date. AI answers love tables and stats.
- ☐ Get on YouTube, with short demos and your own channel. It's the strongest signal found.
- ☐ Earn mentions: pitch "best private AI app" and "multi-model AI app" listicle writers, guest on small podcasts, and launch the open-source model on GitHub and Hugging Face under the Chancora name.
- ☐ Every month, ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity "best private AI app with every model" and note whether Chancora shows up.
